I Aim to Please

StatCounter lets me see the search terms that lead people to this site, and I thought it would be fun to examine what people are looking for when they come here, and hand out a big mess of links to all these in-demand subjects.
The most common search terms are writing-related, which is no surprise, especially [...]

I’m back. No, really this time.

After a couple weeks of technical problems that kept me offline, including a dead hard drive, several viruses acquired while downloading an anti-virus, and getting stranded when my car broke down at work, the universe is permitting me to touch machines again.

Huge thanks to [...]

I’m enabling a plugin called Listen Button on my blog. Just click it to hear the entry read by the synthetic voice at Odiogo. I have to admit, it’s pretty cool listening to someone else reading your writing out loud, even if it’s just a computer.
Unfortunately, I don’t know of a way to do it [...]

Turtle People: The End.

Stump stranded us in the middle of the woods this morning. Apparently even Giant Invincible Army Trucks will only keep running so long when they lose an alternator belt. We probably shouldn’t have gone so far off the road; it made us pretty near unfindable without a map, compass, and GPS. Which nobody else had, [...]
